Infrastructure, capital and operations

Monashee exists to change how large cooling plants are developed and owned. Instead of requiring customers to build, fund and manage cooling as a standalone asset, Monashee provides the infrastructure under a long-term commercial relationship.

Capability01 / 03

Development

Structure cooling projects around customer requirements, site conditions and deployment schedules.

Capability02 / 03

Capital

Finance project-level infrastructure through dedicated asset-owning structures.

Capability03 / 03

Operations

Retain responsibility for performance, maintenance and lifecycle management.

03 — Founders

Ivan Zivkovic, Co-Founder and CEO

Ivan has spent more than a decade commercializing industrial and clean-energy infrastructure across manufacturing, hydrogen and emerging infrastructure markets.

He previously co-founded Teralta Hydrogen Solutions, where he developed international partnerships across France, South Korea and the United States and secured a project term sheet with a global energy company.

At AdvanTec Global Innovations, Ivan built a vertically integrated contract manufacturing business from the ground up and negotiated multi-year manufacturing agreements with multinational clients.

He also led the market pivot that took Dhydra Technologies from pre-revenue to approximately C$21 million in revenue in under a year.

04 — Founders

James Seabrook, P.Eng, Co-Founder

James is President of Vitalis and brings direct experience in industrial CO2 equipment, manufacturing and refrigeration applications to the Monashee platform.

Under his leadership, Vitalis expanded from CO2 extraction equipment into industrial CO2 refrigeration and became part of Germany's KKVB Group in 2024.

A mechanical engineering graduate of UBC Okanagan and a registered professional engineer in British Columbia, James spent five years in new product development for industrial drilling equipment before leading Vitalis from its founding in 2016. He has since taken the company into megawatt-scale R744 heat pumps and chillers, including the 1.5 MW reversible air-source heat pump for UBC Okanagan's campus decarbonization project, the largest of its kind in North America, and opened a 25,000-square-foot expansion of the Kelowna manufacturing facility in 2025.
